The Lakewood Presbyterian Church would like to make you aware of the wonderful space we have available since the closing of our before and after school care program. The space includes a large open area (3100 sq ft) and an extra-large kitchen equipped with two stoves, two refrigerators and a dishwasher. Additional space includes a classroom, a nursery area, three bathrooms (one handicap accessible) and an office or two. The church sits on a large property (about 3 acres) and has a big grassy play area a couple hundred feet off the street. Additional play areas include a paved basketball standard, and marvelous BigToy playground equipment.
Because we have a relatively small membership, we are not in a position to subsidize the group(s) that would choose to operate out of our facility, but we are happy to consider partnering with any viable entity (not necessarily Christian) that would provide a service(s) consistent with our mission statement. We invite you to talk with us about this possibility for your group/organization.
If you are interested in such a partnership, please contact Barlow Buescher. If you know of another entity that may be interested in a partnership with us, please pass on this information.
Yours in Christ,
Barlow Buescher, pastor
Our mission statement:
We are God’s people doing God’s work in our community.
We believe that God created Lakewood Presbyterian to invite and include all people to participate in the worship and ministry of the church.
Worship, which includes the sacraments, is central to the life of each individual. Worship is expressed best by fully incorporating the diversity of the community.
We believe we have responsibility to encourage and provide for life-long learning, throughout our individual and shared faith journeys.
As Christians, we are obedient to Christ and therefore reach out and serve others.
We value our relationships with one another. We believe that through our experiences within the church, we grow in our ability to share God’s truth in our everyday lives.Print This Post
