Are you someone who likes to know the “rest of the story”?
Plan to attend “An Afternoon with Laura Belle Downey Bartlett” set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25 in Oberlin’ Church’s Fellowship Hall, 1603 Rainier St. in Steilacoom.
It’s your opportunity to learn the rest of the story about Laura Belle Downey Bartlett, who, among other accomplishments, published dictionaries about Chinook Jargon and wrote and produced a play about Native American traditions.
Northwest author Nancy Covert and Steilacoom Tribal Chairman Danny Marshall will discuss highlights and accomplishments of this late 19th century Steilacoom woman that afternoon.
Note: The program, supported by anonymous donors, also is sponsored by Oberlin Church. Free-donations will be accepted.
