Interventional Radiologist Richard Tobin, MD, will be the featured speaker at a free health seminar regarding new treatments for pelvic pain caused by uterine fibroids. The seminar begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, in the Resource Center classroom at St. Clare Hospital, 4908 112th St. in Lakewood.
Dr. Tobin will explain how minimally invasive uterine fibroid embolization can be an effective therapy for women who experience longer-than-normal periods and pelvic pain as a result of uterine fibroid tumors. Thanks to the uterine fibroid embolization procedure, women can now find relief without hysterectomy.
Uterine fibroid embolization is performed in the new Eva R. McLean Interventional Radiology Suite at St. Clare Hospital.
