Lt. Gen. William H. Harrison thanks staff and students for selecting him as the school‚Äôs namesake.
LAKEWOOD, WA — Staff and students at Clover Park School District‚Äôs Harrison Preparatory School, the former 5-12 Learning Community, held a naming ceremony prior to the school‚Äôs open house on Oct. 1.
The school is housed in the former Lake City Elementary School building and is named after Lt. Gen. William H. Harrison, the first mayor of Lakewood.
The celebration featured remarks from principal Lisa Boyd, Lt. Gen. Harrison, superintendent Debbie LeBeau and board president Carole Jacobs. Harrison signified the renaming of the school by cutting a ceremonial ribbon.Print This Post
