The Lakewood Computer Clubhouse, located at Harrison Preparatory School in the Lake City neighborhood, is looking for teens, ages 13-18, to work on film making and robotics. The film making group — Adobe Youth Voices — meets on Mondays, from 3:30 to 7:00. Their focus is creating youth inspired video stories on what is going on around Lakewood. The robotics group meets on Wednesdays from 5:00 to 8:00. This group builds and program robots using Lego and Vex systems and will be preparing for competition. Adults interested in mentoring these programs are also welcome.
The Computer Clubhouse, an outreach of Pierce College, is a free after-school program that partners youth with technology and caring mentors. More information can be found at www.pierce.ctc.edu/clubhouse.
