Safe Kids Worldwide and program sponsor FedEx created Safe Kids Walk This Way to teach safe behavior to motorists and child pedestrians and create safer, more walkable communities. Safe Kids Pierce County is a local coalition dedicated to reducing injury and death to children under the age of 14.
The students met firefighters, police officers, FedEx and PTA volunteers, and Chloe Clark staff at Clock Tower Park and began their safe walk to school around 8:30 a.m. As they arrived, they were greeted by firefighters and received fun safety materials before going to class. This is the second year Chloe Clark Elementary has participated in the program.
Thank you to all who participated and volunteered with this program! For more information on Walk This Way, please visit the Safe Kids Pierce County website.
