Computer Clubhouse members, upon learning of possible funding cuts to their program if Prop. 1 passes, produced a video to voice their displeasure. While only one member is 18 (and eligible to vote), one teen brought up the idea that gambling was a ‘tax on the stupid”. The rest of the members liked that concept – thinking that if gamblers choose to throw their money away then it should go to a good cause – the Computer Clubhouse.
The video was from the — just kicked off — Adobe Youth Voices project and the students were learning how to use software for green screening. The Clubhouse is one of the human service agencies partially funded by the City of Lakewood. The youth take turns reading from the tele-prompter (hence the four versions).Print This Post
