Northwest Commercial Bank opens full-service branch in Auburn. Grand opening is 2 pm Monday.
While some of the country’s giant financial institutions continue facing problems, Lakewood-based Northwest Commercial Bank is opening a full-service banking facility in south Auburn, according to Kurt Graff, CEO and President.
The Auburn branch will hold a grand opening Monday. Sept. 22 at 2 pm with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Auburn Mayor Pete Lewis and Auburn Chamber of Commerce marketing director Ed Stevens, together with several members of the Auburn City Council and the Chamber’s Ambassador organization will cut the ribbon, according to Rod Clemmer, branch manager.
In addition to free refreshments throughout the day, visitors to the bank are invited to sign up for a chance to win a $300 gift card at the Super Mall of the Northwest, a $200 gas card, a $100 Safeway card or a complete picnic kit.
Located at 4220 A Street SE, suite 109, in Auburn, the Northwest Commercial Bank branch provides full banking services.
Kurt Graff, president and CEO of the Lakewood-based bank, said the new facility provides personalized services to both businesses and residents of the south Auburn area. The branch includes a convenient drive-thru window and ATM services. The new financial center’s hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. The ATM is conveniently located at the street side of the building and is available 24-hours a day.
“We are very pleased to be able to provide complete banking services in this area of Auburn,” said Clemmer. “One of our goals is to provide residents and businesses of the area with personalized banking that meets all their needs, including consumer and business loans and their other financial service needs.”
“We’re excited with the strong response we‚Äôve received since opening our doors Sept. 8,‚Äù Clemmer exclaimed. He said nearly 300 accounts have already been opened by businesses and individuals.
Clemmer has a long history in the Auburn banking community having served as branch manager for Columbia Bank’s Auburn branch until earlier this year. Lorna Hidalgo, assistant branch manager, is also a veteran banker from the same area of Auburn.
“Northwest Commercial Bank’s approach to lending has always been on the conservative side; we know our customers well,” Graff explained. He went on to note that the Lakewood bank has a very limited portfolio of construction loans and nothing in the sub-prime market, the primary areas that have caused the financial problems for a number of the nation’s largest banks.”
