Communities in Schools has a permanent stage at the Puyallup Fair. On Wednesday, Sept. 17, students from Lochburn, Mann and Clover Park High School will be featured from 4:15-8:30 p.m. On Sunday, September 21, a variety of other Lakewood groups will showing their talent.
Dave O’Keeffe, Director of CISL, points out that “performing builds competence, and competence leads to confidence. When children are confident in themselves, they perform better in school, and strive for greater achievement. The CIS stage will be testing ground for student talent for years to come.”
If you visit the fair, be sure to visit the CIS stage located in the children’s area next to Sillyville and Toonzville. Reading Tree has made it possible for each child in the audience to receive a free ook. Look for the yellow CIS school bus suspended 15 feet in the air!Print This Post
