The Ski Hawks will be hosting a Rock ‘n Roll Hoe Down, Saturday, September 27 at 7 pm at the Steilacoom Community Center.
Ever just want to go somewhere where there are nice people and you can have fun? Then you can accept the invitation to the SkiHawks Rock ‘n Roll Hoe Down. The SkiHawks, a collection of active adults, mostly over 40, some over 50, both single and couples, have a friendly membership where the members plan activities all year long, and they invite you to just make up your mind to join the fun. They are experienced at life but not necessarily at whatever fun they plan.
Please RSVP to: Mary Lloyd at 253-208-0059.
There will be door prizes, dancing to Rock ‘n Roll, a Line dance lesson, Appetizers, a No-host beer/wine bar, and a Best Hoe-Down Hat Contest.
The SkiHawk are a club of about 200 active adults who originally went on ski trips together, and now keep themselves active year-round. Their fun includes, picnics, hikes, bike rides, kayaking, snowshoe outings, a Christmas party, an election party, trips to Warren Miller films, random parties, meetings, and ski trips. Ski Trips include Reno/Lake Tahoe, Big Sky, Montana, Utah, Sun Peaks, and Europe. Please join them at a meeting any time, on the second Tuesday of each, and currently at Elmer’s Restaurant, on Hosmer just off 72nd Street in Tacoma. You can always find out what is happening at www.skihawks.org where they keep stories on events and upcoming activities. Hope to see you there.Print This Post
