Marlene Kam of Steilacoom, WA, recently attended the 2008 Creative Memories National Sales Convention, called Showcase, in Minneapolis, Minn. Thousands of Creative Memories Consultants from across the United States gathered at the Minneapolis Convention Center from August 1 – 4 to discover the latest products, learn new techniques for memory celebration, engage in interactive discussions and celebrate achievements.
“Attending Showcase is one of the best things I can do to help my customers celebrate their memories,” said Marlene, a Creative Memories Consultant for over 10 years. “Every year at Showcase, Creative Memories rolls out the latest and greatest products for preserving and sharing memories and this year was no exception. The new products are wonderful, and I learned lots of new ways to use pictures and tell a story through an album, as a gift or on the walls of a home.”
One of the highlights of Showcase was the announcement that Creative Memories will be supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.¬Æ Creative Memories Sales Consultants chose the Foundation to be the company’s charitable organization for 2009.
“Creative Memories has always been dedicated to charitable giving, and we are thrilled that our sales field selected the Make-A-Wish Foundation to be our new partner,” says Asha Morgan Moran, Global President. “Our company is all about capturing and savoring memories. By creating both the opportunity for wishes to be granted and a means to capture and relive those memories, Creative Memories can have a real impact on the families of children with life-threatening medical conditions served by Make-A-Wish Foundation.”
The memory-celebration industry has rapidly migrated from traditional scrapbooking to digital photo books and home decor innovations in recent years. Long recognized as the industry leader, Creative Memories promises to reinforce its lead through committed programs and incentives for Consultants and charitable giving through the nationally recognized Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America.
“We are delighted to be associated with Creative Memories and its enthusiastic network of more than 70,000 independent Consultants,” said David Williams, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America President and Chief Executive Officer. “A wish granted brings lasting joy to wish kids and their families, and they will be able to relive that joy again and again, thanks to our partnership with Creative Memories.”
