Lakewood, WA — Lakewood Playhouse, is pleased to announce that a new state-of-the-art heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system has been installed at Lakewood Playhouse. What began as a simple $50,000 project quickly evolved into a much bigger $100,000 project as new three phase power was brought onto our property and an entire HVAC system was engineered for our building.
John Korsmo Construction served as the general contractor for the project and did an outstanding job every step of the way. Likewise, Air System Engineering, Laser Electric, Higham Excavating, and Lakeview Light and Power were wonderful. The entire project took about one month from start to completion.
Thanks to Chris Kimball for his initial matching donation, to all our capital campaign donors, and to Barbara Ladd for her support. Also, a big thank you goes to Lakeview Light and Power for donating the cost bringing three-phase power to the Playhouse.
To make the installation possible, Lakewood Playhouse raised $50,000 through a combination of capital donations and grants. Additionally, we secured a five year, $50,000 private loan to pay for the project cost increases. The donation from Lakeview Light and Power and other cost savings give a good start toward retiring our HVAC debt. To pay-off the remainder of the loan, we are starting an ongoing capital fund. Lakewood Playhouse appreciates the great support we have already received from area patrons and trust that the theatre can count on that support once more.
Now you can enjoy the region’s finest in-the-round productions in a climate controlled theatre. Please help Lakewood Playhouse retire its remaining project debt by donating to the Capital Fund!
