The 15th Annual Pierce College Scholarship Scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. Thursday at the High Cedars Golf Club in Orting.
The field for this year’s scramble is full, with 144 golfers set to tee off in the formal tournament. In addition, there will be fun games, including Monster Golf and Hole in One, scattered throughout the course.
Following the day of golf, a dinner and auction will be held at the clubhouse. Items up for bid include a getaway at the Alderbrook Resort in Union, a weekend stay in a cabin on Mount Rainier, and a catered dinner from local celebrity Chef Benji Biddle from the Broadway Center at the home of Pierce College District Chancellor Michele Johnson.
Tickets are still available for the dinner and auction portion of the event. Tickets are $25 and available by calling Ruth Ann Hatchett at (253) 864-3261.
All proceeds from the golf tournament and games, as well as both the silent and live auctions, goes to the Pierce College Foundation for student scholarships. Last year, the Scholarship Scramble‘s net proceeds exceeded $53,000. Over the course of the event’s 14 years, more than $445,000 has gone toward student scholarships.Print This Post
