Fire Department officials from DuPont and Lakewood will take part in a public meeting Monday, July 28 relating to the recent house fire in DuPont that totaled the Roy McIntyre family home.
The session will get underway at 7 pm at Chloe Clark Elementary School in DuPont.
In addition to offering tips on preventing fires as well as escapes in case of a fire, a critique of this tragic situation will be discussed, including the amount of time it takes firefighters to get to the scene of a fire, safety precautions and other aspects of similar emergencies.
McIntyre, his wife Kelly, daughter Samantha and the family pets made it out safely with only a few personal items. The community started rallying around the family immediately. If you want to help the family with clothing and personal items, please call the Home Town Clipper (964-3141). Monetary donations can be made to Venture Bank in DuPont for the “Roy & Kelly McIntyre DuPont Community Relief Fund.” DuPont Fire Chief Bob Merritt opened the account with a personal donation of $100.Print This Post
