Saturday, July 26, was Dog-A-Thon Day at Ft. Steilacoom Park and hundreds of dogs, many dragging their owners on a leash, turned out for the festivities. The crowd was very large throughout the event.
There were big dogs and little dogs, there were barking dogs and quiet ones, there were well mannered dogs and not so well mannered ones, there were dogs and masters dressed alike and there were dogs that had been to the beauty shop. There were probably old dogs and young dogs (it is sometimes hard for the non-expert to tell which is which) and there were old owners and young owners and everything in between.
The dog-a-thon is a benefit for the Humane Society and the results was a record-setting $131,000, according to the show announcer.Print This Post
