The annual Concerts in the Park at the Curran Apple Orchard Park presented by the Curran Orchard Resource Enthusiasts, the City of University Place, Click! Network and Columbia Bank began June 26 and continue on scheduled Thursday evenings through August 21 at the Curran Apple Orchard Park, 3920 Grandview Drive West, University Place. All concerts begin at 6:30 p.m.
This year the concert lineup kicked off with a well-attended performance by the “Swing Reunion Orchestra” on June 26. July 10 welcomes the “Dead Edsels,” July 17 “Incendio,” July 24 “Maia Santell & House Blend,” August 7 “Gerry Andel & the Rough Riders,” and the season concludes on August 21 with a performance by “Michael Powers.” Specially scheduled this season as a part of the concert series is a theatrical performance of “The Tempest” by Shakespeare in the Parking Lot on August 14.
Admission to any of the concerts is free. Food is available for purchase by the University Place Kiwanis. Should inclement weather occur, the rainout location is the Curtis High School Cafeteria, 8425 40th Street West, University Place.
