The Pierce County Lead Entity is soliciting grant proposals for salmon habitat protection and restoration projects in the Puyallup River and Chambers/Clover Creek watersheds from qualified applicants. Approximately $625,000 is available for this year’s grant awards.
Project proposals will be evaluated and ranked and then submitted to the Washington State Salmon Recovery Funding Board for funding consideration.
Project eligibility and other details are available at www.piercecountywa.org/srfb. Eligible applicants include cities, counties, conservation districts, Indian Tribes, non-profit organizations, special purpose districts and private landowners.
Applicants are required to submit letters of intent by May 28 stating their intent to apply for grants. Draft and final applications are due June 26 and July 30, respectively.
