John and I are paying your kindness forward by helping a family in Steilacoom that has been devastated by illness.
A mother is trying to make it back home from the hospital after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of throat and brain cancer. Her chemotherapy has started, and she has 8 more sessions to go. She has decided to fight it.
She has twin 11 year old boys, a 14 year old daughter, and a 16 year old son along with a very kind and loving husband. She cannot come home yet because her aggressive chemotherapy regimen requires some changes at home. The home must be sterilized ( a very familiar story to John and Mary). We have contacted local suppliers to assist us in obtaining materials to have the home prepared for her return. So far, we have laminate flooring and vinyl for the home to replace the old unclean-able carpeting, but need some help in laying it. The laminate comes with the backing already on it, to make installation easier.
We are looking for volunteers for a few hours of service, experienced or novice to help John Haas out with this project later this week or upcoming weekend.
If you are interested, please contact John or Mary Haas at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you so much for all you have done to make our lives so much better, we are ever so grateful to live in such a wonderful giving community!
John and Mary Haas
