The Pierce County Democratic Party has established the locations for their 2008 caucuses, which will be held county-wide Feb. 9 at 1 p.m.
With more than 35 locations, chairman Nathe Lawver expects a large turnout, as top Presidential contenders have yet to achieve a majority of delegate votes. “Washington state will play an important roll in the partys nominating process with Pierce County being a big part of the delegation to the national convention.”
Voters can contact the Central Committee office at (253) 473-6812 between 11 a.m .and 7 p.m Monday to Friday to find their location. Or they can log onto www.piercecountydems.org to search for their location electronically.
Individuals unable to attend due to military service, disability or religious observance may contact the office to obtain a surrogate affidavit form. If you aren’t sure what a Caucus is, you can watch a 17-minute video explaining, “What is a Caucus”.
