Publisher’s Note: Following is an unedited letter from a Haas Family Building Fund Volunteer. This is a call to action that The Suburban Times supports fully. Time is of the essence. For more background on the Haas Family Foundation, click here or here.
Hello, Team Haas Supporters!
We have building permits waiting to be picked up at the City of Lakewood, SO WE CAN BUILD A HOME!
The fee for the permit is $4,139.80.
I have emailed this to 53 people. If you divide $4,139.80 into 53 you get $79.
I AM PETITIONING TO HAVE ALL THIS DONATED THROUGH OUR EFFORTS!! IF EVERY ONE OF US THAT THIS HAS BEEN EMAILED TO DONATES $79 THEN WE HAVE PERMITS PAID FOR!!!!! If you pass this on to anyone I missed or to anyone that you think may be interested in donating a few dollars please do so, the more the better!
I will start off by committing $100 towards the permits myself.
We need to have the permits paid for by next Monday, Jan 21st, so that building can commence.
Please mail checks out immediately to the following address and please include a note that this is being donated for the building permit fund.
Make checks to: Haas Family Building Fund
Mail to: Mary Haas Foundation, PO Box 88398, Steilacoom, WA 98388
I will follow up this email next with with A REPORT ON HOW WELL WE DO. If you have any questions please give me a call.
I thank all of you for your support in this great undertaking.
Classy Chassis & Classic Coffee has a check prepared for $1,000 for the foundation. I’ll be sure Denise or Shelly has it this week. This is the portion of cash earned through the Classy Chassis gift card sales from some of the Haas supporters. We are pleased to give this to the foundation and hope that soon we can get a group to help sell many more to increase the donation! We will see you Saturday with our fresh Hot Coffee, Cider and Popcorn for everyone at the Burn!
Keep up the good work,
Classy Chassis Team
