Cindy and Doug McKitrick, owners of Custom Hardwood Floors, Inc. were honored as the 2007 Business of the Year. The honor was announced on Sept. 24 at the Chamber’s annual business meeting, held at Steilacoom’s newest commercial building, The Port Steilacoom Building.
Custom Hardwood Floors, established in 1991, is a home-based business with four employees. The McKitricks also are members in good standing with the Better Business Bureau.
Local construction firm, Babbitt-Neuman Construction recently completed and moved its offices into the two-story structure on Wilkes Street.
Chamber officers for 2008 include: Don Rehburg, President; Cindy McKitrick, Vice President; Veva Maddox, Secretary and Jeff Borhek, Treasurer
The Chamber’s Board of Directors includes Alan Bell, Mike Dunsmore, Dan French, Bill Enold, Patty Young, and past president John Inselman. Young, who works at Key Bank, was newly elected to the board this past month.
