Steilacoom Historical School District will be making a presentation to Pierce County Conservation Futures Citizens Advisory Board at 8:40 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, 2007.
The purpose of the presentation, according to school board member Mike Winkler, is for Pierce County to consider buying the land above Saltar’s Point Elementary School as part of its conservation futures program.
The public is invited to attend this meeting to be held in Room 203 at the Lakewood Community Center at 9112 Lakewood Drive, S.W., in Lakewood.
The school board also welcomes community input on this important topic at its upcoming board meetings: at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9 and at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23. Both meetings will be held at the Steilacoom High School library, 54 Sentinel Drive.
