Wednesday, May 2, I was informed by Asst. City Administrator, Dawn Schauer, that the City Administration will not place the Nisqually Resolution on the May 8 City Council agenda. An individual council member can ask that it be added, but I am not aware of any effort to do so. The resolution or some form of it may appear in the future. I want to personally thank all of you for “weighing-in” on the issue regardless where you stand. The e-mails, phone calls and numerous conversations were, I am sure, influential in postponing this resolution.
If you wish to publicly comment to your city council on this or any other matter, each citizen has two opportunities to address the council for 3 minutes. City Council meetings are the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, 7:00 pm at city hall. Study Sessions are on the 3rd Tuesday, 6:00 pm at city hall. All meetings are posted on the city’s website and are open to the public.
