The City of DuPont with Harold LeMay Enterprises will offer a Community Cleanup of your unwanted materials on Saturday, May 5th starting at 9:30 am.
This clean-up will not be as conducted in the past. Place unwanted materials in bags or boxes (not to exceed 45 lbs each- that one person can carry or pickup easily) at your usual pickup location in the alley/curb by 9:30 so so garbage trucks can start the cleanup!
Make certain your bags or boxes are properly closed so they are wind and animal proof.
NO HAZARDOUS MATERIALS!!
Residential customers may take their hazardous materials to the City of Tacoma Recycle Drop off Center (free of charge) located at: 3510 S. Mullen Street, Tacoma, WA 98409.
Hazardous materials are: Antifreeze, Flammable Liquids, Fluorescent Bulbs, Oil Based Paints, Insecticides, Yard & Garden Chemicals, Etc.
To prevent latex paint cans from being on the hazardous materials list, put cat litter in the cans to dry them out and dispose and they can be disposed as garbage. Only dry paint can be accepted!!
Remember to Recycle:
- Good used furniture that you would want in your home.
- Good used clothing, toys etc.
