A little “bribe” from Wal-mart so insignficant as a sign does nothing for me as a Lakewood resident. The sign hardly makes up for all of the traffic, crime, higher unemployment rates, noise pollution and many other things that this evil empire will bring. I’m embarassed to have this plauge brought into my neighborhood which is already “sketchy” morally and financially to begin with. I know that it is here so I will continue to live my life with the knowledge that Wal-mart does not get my money (other than the taxes that I’ll have to the State since Wal-mart is too greedy to pay depsite the ability that they can!) and will join Fircrest in their crusade. After all, that’s where I’ll have to move in a few years after this area goes completely downhill.
Editor’s note: The photo caption below the picture in Monday’s edition was apparently a poor attempt at sarcastic humor (as pointed out by a few readers). Sorry.
