Charles passed away peacefully after battling Alzheimer’s for several years. He worked at Atlas Foundry as a supervisor for 45 years. Charles was called “champ” by his many friends because he excelled at everything he undertook. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Martha, daughter Charlene Haglund, son Charles R. Raymond, granddaughters Michelle (Chris), Denise (Aaron), Jennifer (Ben), great grandchildren Ananda, Sean, Molly, and Jeremyah. At Charles request no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of choice.

Pearl E. Hancock
Pearl Hancock, 73, of Tacoma, passed away Monday January 1, 2007.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling to North Carolina to see family but most of all spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Charles Hancock, son Bob Hancock (Patti), daughter Lois Woods, 9 grandchildren, 1 brother Bill Kirk, and sister-in-law Pat Sarter.

James Gaetano Manza
Jim, born March 25, 1945, passed away Friday, December 29, 2006. He loved his family, friends, and community profoundly. He was a true benefactor and his generosity was a blessing to all. Jim valued his Jesuit education and treasured his memories of Bellarmine Prep and Gonzaga University. He celebrated his family and friends through his passion for cooking. Jim is survived by his wife, Kathleen, the Chanfrau family (daughter Erin, son-in-law Steve, and granddaughters Ginger and Holly), the Lindstrom family (daughter Brandy and son-in-law Sam), siblings Janice, Rockelle, and Anthony, and a large extended family.
Jim and his family would like to thank everyone at St. Clare’s hospital for their compassionate care, and family and friends for their concern and support.
To commemorate his life, a memorial service will be held Thursday, January 4, 2007, at 11:00 am, at St. Rita’s Church, 1403 S. Ainsworth Ave., Tacoma, WA, 98405.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Rita’s Scholarship Fund would truly honor Jim’s memory.
