Compassionate Care is a new group dedicated to providing newly bereaved parents who experience pregnancy or infant loss the most compassionate care possible. The goal of this group is to bring together all providers; professionals, businesses, medical personnel, social workers, funeral home staff, and others who either provide a service for bereaved families, or come in contact with these families. Networking will provide all professionals the awareness of resources that are available to families, which will allow grieving parents to have access to each resource they may need at the time of their loss.
Compassionate Care will meet at 1 pm on the first Tuesday each month at Caf?© Diallo in University Place. Each month, there will be a speaker from one of the organizations that is involved with pregnancy/infant loss. This group is free. Compassionate Care encourages all to spread the word to other providers and organizations within the community who deal in some way with pregnancy/infant loss to attend. The success of this group is dependant on attendance and willingness to bring resources together.
