At its November meeting, the Pierce County Library System’s Board of Trustees will hold its first public hearing on its 2007 budget, and discuss Pierce County Library Foundation’s fundraising direction; planning for the Library’s future-2007-2012; a pilot project to give customers free access to books and other materials at Pierce County Libraries and Puyallup Public Library; and other issues.
The Board of Trustees will meet at the Pierce County Library System’s Processing and Administration Center, 3005 112th St. E., in Tacoma on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 3:30 & 6 p.m.
Three of the primary issues the board will address include:
- 2007 budget.
- Planning Library’s future: 2007-2012.
- Borrowing books and materials from Puyallup Public Library and Pierce County Libraries.
The Library System serves 509,000 people in all of unincorporated Pierce County and 14 annexed cities and towns.
