It was standing room only for the Fircrest Against Wal-Mart Meeting Update held at TCC last Wednesday.
State Representative Tami Green and candidate Troy Kelley were in attendance, along with about 100 residents of Fircrest. Based on the reactions of Fircrest residents, it appears that Wal-Mart is unwelcome in their community.
Traffic and environmental studies submitted as part of the Wal-Mart application raised concerns for the residents. If you are interested in learning more about this effort go to the Fircrest Against WalMart’s website.
