The Northwest Landing ROA and DuPont Centennial Committee will participate in the 20th Annual Festival of Trees, benefiting Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital’s Critical Care Services.
The theme of the DuPont tree is “Sunday Supper.” Remember the days when friends and family would meet around the dinner table on Sunday for an afternoon of conversation, laughter and memories? The goal is to bring this feeling back with a Christmas tree. It will be decorated with bright colors with kitchen and cooking items.
The ROA and Centennial Committee have been busy raising money to support our efforts throughout the year and want to thank those who have purchased a raffle ticket, a Wily Wonka Chocolate bar, or to anyone who has dropped a donation in one of the donation jars located throughout the city.
The festival itself is home to nearly 70 elaborately decorated evergreen trees, each with its own special theme. The Festival of Trees will be held at The Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center and is open to the public December 3-4 with a “kids Day” December 2 from 10 am-3 pm. Admission is $6; Students (12-18) $2.00 and children are free.
Mary Bridge Provides health care to children from Pierce County and throughout southwest Washington. In all, the Festival of Trees has contributed more than $10,200,000 to Mary Bridge. Needless to say, we are very proud to be a part of such a wonderful fundraising event.
