Robert John Barrett
Robert John Barrett, born in Buffalo, NY on June 24, 1938, died suddenly in Tacoma on August 13, 2006. Survived by his wife Billie, children Steve (Lisa) and Salli, stepdaughters Val and Stacy (Manny), four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, sister Norma (Don), brothers Pat (Rosemary) and Bud (Alice), numerous nieces and nephews, and dear friends, Dave and Mary Ann.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at the family home.

Gayle Eleanor McWilliams
Gayle Eleanor McWilliams passed away suddenly on Monday, August 14th. Gayle was born in Buffalo, NY on July 20, 1953. Service in the Army brought her to Fort Lewis, where she met her husband of 27 years, Fred. Gayle is survived by her husband, brothers Daniel Alden of Sitka, AK, and Paul, David and Martin Atzrott of Buffalo, NY, and sister Mary Pawlak of Cleveland OH. Gayle was a 1986 graduate of U. of W., School of Pharmacy, and loved collie dogs. Both communities will miss her very much.
Viewing will be from 12:00 to 9:00 PM on Friday, August 18, 2006 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 19, 2006 in the Mountain View Garden Chapel.
Sharylyn Sue Dixon
1944 & 2006
Sharylyn Sue (Monson) Dixon was born in Enid, OK on March 5, 1944. She went home to be with the Lord on August 13, 2006 due to complications of kidney disease. She was truly unable to recover from losing Dad just 3 months ago. She lived in Taegu, Korea for 2 years as a teen, graduated from Cooper High School in Abilene, TX, and attended Evangel Liberal Arts U., TCC and PLU. She married Leroy Andrew Dixon on December 28, 1968 in Tacoma, WA. They adopted 3 children: 2 from Korea and 1 from S. Dakota.
Sharylyn had many talents and gifts that she shared with others over the years. She was a member of WSMTA, Pacific Gallery Artists, as well as being a pianist, piano instructor, composer, author, and artist.
Sharylyn was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy, son Benjamin, and sister Melodie Monson. She leaves behind her daughter Candie Paulson (Chris), son James Dixon (Estella), eight grandchildren, brother Paul Monson (Elo), sister Faith LaRoche (Todd), and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at Mountain View Funeral Home and Memorial Park.

Ronald Duane Hjelmstad
Ronald Hjelmstad, born on June 26, 1935 in Grand Forks, ND to Paul J. and Ida Hjelmstad, passed away at the age of 71, on August 12, 2006, in Washington. His last memories were doing what he loved, fishing with his wife on Rife Lake in Mossy Rock.
After enlisting in US Army at the age of 17, he went on to serve in the Korean and Vietnam wars, retiring as 1st SGT in 1973, receiving numerous accommodations for his 20 years of service. Ron enjoyed spending time fishing, camping and watching the Seattle Mariner’s and Seahawk’s with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alice A (Orloske), Chehalis, WA, three children: Karen L. McCabe (Douglas), Charlotte, NC, Debbie A Durance (Bill), Tacoma, WA, and Larry D. Hjelmstad, Mililani, HI; and grandchildren Ryan McCabe, Whitmore Lake, MI, Jennifer Durance, Tacoma, WA, Reece McCabe, Kalamazoo, MI, Lindsy Durance, Tacoma, WA, and Larry Hjelmstad II, Mililani, HI.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, August 15 and from 9-11AM on Wednesday at Mountain View Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or charity of your choice.
It is with great sadness that we announce that Marilyn Jean Zierath passed away Thursday, August 10, 2006 after her 2 year fight with cancer.
Marilyn was the beloved wife of David Zierath (deceased 2004) and survived by her loving family, children: Carolyn (spouse Mike), Robert (spouse Dannielle), and Michael (spouse Stacey); 9 grandchildren: Anna, Sarah, Sean, Evan, Andrew, Adam, Ethan, Gabby and Sydney; and twin sister and best friend, Carolyn, and her family.
Marilyn was born January 24, 1942 in Centralia to Lloyd and Lolita Reese. She graduated from West High School in Bremerton in 1960. She obtained her nursing degree in 1964, Masters in Nursing at Fresno State a few years later, and retired from nursing around 1996.
She was a master at knitting, needlepoint and crochet, loved to read and loved Hallmark Movies.
Everyone who knew her enjoyed her sense of humor. She was very kind, generous and a very special person.
The family would like to thank everyone who has shown such kindness and caring during this time of sorrow. She will be missed more then words can say!
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 18, 2006 in the Mountain View Garden Chapel.
