Dennis V. Nelson
Dennis Nelson, 70, of Lakewood, passed away at home surrounded by family June 23, 2006. He is survived by his daughters Vickie Cowan (Jim), Roxanne Nelson (John), Denise Bailey (Steve) and brother Duane Nelson, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held 1-9 PM. Thursday, June 29, 2006 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Friday, June 30, 2006, in the Mountain View Valley Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MultiCare Hospice.
Loyce J. Wade
Mother Loyce J. Wade was born June 23, 1922 in Magee, MS. She went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday afternoon, June 20, 2006.
She leaves behind a host of family and friends. Mother Wade will be greatly missed by many who loved her and were inspired by her life.
Mother Wade’s homegoing celebration will be held on Monday, June 26, 2006 at St John Baptist Church, 2001 S “J” Street. Viewing will be held from 10 – 10:45 am. Funeral services will be held at 11 am.
Pastor Lee Arthur Madison will be officiating the service.
Dorothy C. Pardue
Dorothy was born March 5, 1928 in Tacoma. She passed away June 21, 2006 after spending the last few months at Alterra Memory Care Center. Dorothy and was a local business owner for 30 years.
Dorothy and her husband Richard spent many years traveling and was such a gentle spirit in the lives of others. She was preceded in her journey to heaven by her husband of 58 years Dick. Survived by daughter Sharon Callaham, two grandchildren Shonda Grandinetti and husband Rick, Darrin Mulcahey and wife Denise, four great-grandsons Kayle, Garrett, Austin and Justin, sister Audrey Burns and brother Chet Pardue.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, June 27th at Mountain View Funeral Home and Memorial Park. All guests please gather at the office at 10:00 for graveside services.
John Lorenz departed peacefully into the arms our Lord Jesus on June 21, 2006, at age 89. He was born on August 25, 1916 in Zap, North Dakota, one of 19 children. At the age of 18 John traveled to Washington State and joined the Army in 1941, serving in World War II. In 1945 he met and married his life long love of 61 years, Louise. Together they built a home and life which included 3 children: James (Rosie) Lorenz, Linda Lorenz-Ridge, and Kathy (John) Buker. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren: James (Stephanie) Ridge, Kristy (Fred) King, Jennifer Ridge, Lisa (Casey) Holt, and 2 great-grandchildren: Jailie and Kyle Ridge.
John was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved everyone he met and brought joy to many lives. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and was always the life of the party. We will cherish our memories of this generous, kind and loving man, who lived to love and loved to live. We know he is in Heaven now and that we will see him again.
A private graveside service was held by the family. A Celebration of John’s life will be held at the home of Jim and Rosie. Please contact a family member for the date and time.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
