For the week of April 4th to 11th, 2006 Lakewood Fire District 2 responded to 155 calls for service. For the year 2006 we have responded to 2,534 calls for service.
April 5, 2006
8300 block of 87th Avenue SW- Lakewood Fire Department personnel responded to a report of an ill female. On arrival they found a 55 year old woman who was lethargic but responded to verbal commands. Firefighters checked the patients’ blood sugar which was low and provided her with 25mg of dextrose. The patient was advised to go to the hospital but elected to go home after signing a release form. Her family provided the transportation for her.
April 6, 2006
7500 block of Steilacoom Boulevard SW- Firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle collision. On arrival they treated a 29 year old female who was experiencing lower back pain. The patient had been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. The patient refused transport.
April 7, 2006
9600 block of 108th Avenue Court- Lakewood Fire Department personnel responded to a report of a person who had fallen. On arrival they found an 85 year old female lying in bed experiencing pain in her ribs she explained that she had fallen earlier. Firefighters completed a thorough exam and the patient was transported to St. Clare Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

Southbound I-5- Firefighters responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on I-5. On arrival they found a 23 year old female seated in the driver seat of her vehicle. The patient was experiencing back pain. She was treated and transported to St. Clare Hospital for further evaluation.
