March 10, 2006
Lakewood Fire District 2 firefighters responded to a 23 year old male who was a possible assault victim. Upon arrival they began their primary workup and found that the patient was complaining of tenderness to the back or his head. He had been unconscious for an unknown amount of time prior to LFD’s arrival. The patient was treated and transported to a local hospital for further care.
March 11, 2006
Lakewood firefighter/paramedics responded to a report of a woman in labor. Arriving at the scene they found a 29 year old female whose contractions were approximately two to four minutes apart. Paramedics completed a primary and secondary exam and transported the patient to Tacoma General.
March 12, 2006
Lakewood firefighters responded to a report of a patient who had fallen. At scene they treated an 80 year old female who had fallen and hit her head on the sink cabinet. The patient was transported to Madigan Hospital for further treatment.
March 14, 2006
Lakewood Fire Department personnel responded to a report of a t-bone motor vehicle crash. On arrival M232 treated a 49 year old female who had been the restrained passenger in the vehicle receiving impact. The patient stated that she was feeling significant pain in her right femur and right eye. Paramedics examined and treated the patient and then transported her to Tacoma General for further treatment and care.
March 15, 2006
Engine 211 responded to a report of an odor of smoke at the Bank of America. After a brief investigation they found that a water cooler was malfunctioning and causing the odor. The machine was unplugged and engine 211 returned to service.
From March 10 to March 17, 2006 Lakewood Fire District 2 personnel responded to 184 calls for service.
