Four students from Curtis Junior High received February Student of the Month honors recently from the Tacoma Narrows Rotary Club for their academic and civic contributions. Two students from the 8th grade and two from 9th grade are honored each month, following a selection process conducted by Junior High faculty and administration.
February’s students are (left to right), Emily Cotter, Justin Tran, Kayla Stewart and Steve Palin. With parents and other family members, they attended the Tacoma Narrows Rotary breakfast February 28th, and were honored with a certificate of achievement and a copy of the Rotary Four Way Test, which is a statement of the personal ethics and values which guide Rotarians. Students are also recognized on the reader board outside Curtis Junior High. The Tacoma Narrows Rotary serves UP, Fircrest and West Tacoma.
