Murray Taylor loves music & and it shows! This month, Taylor has been honored by Lakewood Rotary as the Outstanding Teacher of the Month at Chloe Clark Elementary School.
Taylor, according to Chloe Clark Principal Gary Yoho, “is always highly organized (a great quality to have when working with an entire school-full of children) and as our music teacher for grades K-2, he is a real musical force in our school. Murray is innovative, caring, and loves working with children. A great team player, he is always bringing new musical ideas to the table.”
Taylor not only organizes outstanding musical performances for our community throughout the school year, but also conducts the school’s community time programs twice a week. He arrives very early during the week to rehearse with the kids who are in the Chloe Clark Children’s Choir.
Yoho notes that it is “a pleasure to stand by the school door after a performance and listen to the rave comments from parents about what they and they kids have just experienced.
Many times this year Taylor has suggested ways that help strengthen the school’s strong music program.
“It is a pleasure as a principal to have the opportunity to work with Murray, a music teacher extraordinaire! I cannot think of an educator more worthy of this honor being given by the Lakewood Rotarians than Mr. Murray Taylor,” Yoho added.
