A group called the Peninsula/Spay Neuter Project is offering free dog and cat spay/neuter services to all active miitary personnel duing the month of February. There is no limit on the number of pets. Services will be arranged by the all volunteer, non-profit organization in an effort to decrease pet overpopulation.
Peninsula/Spay Neuter Project is not a clinic but works with more than 15 veterinarians in Piece and Kitsap county to offer the program. The group gets the vets to offer spay/neuter clinics at a reduced fee which is then supplemented by donations. There are vet practices in Lakewood and Tacoma that would be convienent to most military families.
To sign up for the service, please call (253) 884-1543.
