Mrs. Darlene Ball has been appointed office manager for the Tacoma Historical Society’s new downtown exhibit center.
Located at 747 Broadway in the Old City Hall Historic District, the center will open Dec. 14 with an exhibit of mosquito fleet photos.
A Lakewood resident, Mrs. Ball has previously owned two florist shops and managed a furniture store. She and her husband Vern managed the Fircrest Tennis Club. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University and a master’s degree in history from the University of Oregon.
The center will be open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. A small admission fee will be charged.
