Zumper has published a report for the Seattle Metro home rental market. They’ve found that Lakewood rents ($770) are the most affordable community in the metro area of the report. University Place ($870) is next.
The City of University Place 17th Annual Duck Daze parade and festivities will take place on June 3 beginning at 10 a.m. The parade will start at the corner of 27th Street and Bridgeport Way and proceed south to 37th Street before ending at Market Square.
The University Place City Council will hold a Regular Meeting on Monday, June 5, 2017 (6:30 P.M.) in the Town Hall Meeting Room (3715 Bridgeport Way West.) Access the agenda on the City’s website.
Residents of the 28th Legislative District will have a new local office in University Place to share ideas or concerns with Rep. Christine Kilduff (D-University Place) and her staff. As legislative activities in Olympia wind down, Kilduff’s district office will serve as the primary point of contact for matters involving the state legislature.

University Place, Wash. – On Thursday, May 25, a West Pierce Fire & Rescue firefighter/paramedic was arrested and booked into the Pierce County jail under the suspicion of unlawful procession of a controlled substance. He has been accused of stealing controlled drugs from medic units.
