Chloe Clark Elementary, serving students preschool through 3rd grade is recognized for Overall Excellence.
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. This Chinese proverb became the theme for Cherrydale Primary School music teacher Barbie Gonzales and her 3rd grade students as they prepared to reach their goal of playing with the Seattle Symphony.

Steilacoom High School Community Based Instruction students were selected to receive Honorable Mention Award for their outstanding volunteer efforts with Pierce County Parks & Recreation. Teacher Wendy Lundgren and students were recognized at the Pierce County Volunteer Recognition Brunch on Saturday, March 18, 2017.

The Steilacoom High School Chamber Choir has been invited, by conductor Dr. J. Edmund Hughes, to perform in a mass choir at Carnegie Hall, New York City, the first week of April 2017. Students will perform John Rutter’s Requiem, a classic and beloved large choral work with orchestra and soloists.
Full-day kindergarten, at no cost to families, is offered at all three of the district’s primary schools; Cherrydale Primary, Chloe Clark and Anderson Island Elementary Schools.
